Devon and Cornwall 4×4 Response pledges support for Armed Forces Covenant at the Ten Tors weekend. 
Devon and Cornwall 4×4 Response, a group of unpaid volunteer 4×4 drivers who are willing to put their specialist vehicles and skills at the disposal of the Emergency Services and other public bodies, for emergency logistical support, showed their unwavering support for the Armed Forces Covenant by pledging to uphold its principles.
By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, the Armed Forces friendly organisation is committed to upholding the principles of the Covenant’s aims to ensure that no member of the Armed Forces community faces disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizen.
The charity recognises the value that serving personnel, reservists, veterans, and military families bring to any organisation and to the country, and promise to promote the Armed Forces, welcome applications from all members of the armed forces and their families, support national events, and provide logistical support for Armed Forces charities.
Specifically the organisation pledged to:
Endeavour in its business dealings to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, which are:
no member of the Armed Forces Community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizen
In some circumstances special treatment may be appropriate especially for the injured or bereaved.
Recognise the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans, and military families bring to our charity and to our country and it will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:
Promoting its work, activities and events through our own digital and social media channels as well as working with the press.
Publishing its Covenant pledges on a dedicated Covenant section/page on its website
Promoting the fact that it is are an Armed Forces friendly organisation, to its staff, partner agencies and the wider public.
As a purely volunteer based charity, it welcomes applications from all members of the armed forces, reservists and their families.
Supporting Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day, and Remembrance Activities.
Providing logistical support for Armed Forces charities and supporting staff who volunteer to assist them.
Publicise these commitments through its literature and/or on our website, setting out how it will seek to honour them and inviting feedback from the Service community and our customers on how it is doing.
