Gold Standard in Action: Top Employers Get VIP View of Bournemouth Air Festival Aboard Royal Navy Patrol Boat

On Thursday 29th August, six winners of the Gold Employer Recognition Scheme Award (ERS) enjoyed an exclusive and unforgettable experience, celebrating their exceptional support for the Armed Forces community. Representatives from Dorset Council, Ellis Jones Solicitors, and C3IA were treated to a breath-taking view of the Bournemouth Air Festival’s flying display from the deck of a Royal Navy Archer Class P2000 fast patrol boat.

The Gold award recipients witnessed stunning aerial performances, including thrilling manoeuvres by the Typhoon Display Team, a majestic flypast by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Avro Lancaster B1, and dynamic displays from the Royal Navy Black Cats Display Team, all set against the picturesque backdrop of Bournemouth Beach. This unique event was not only a chance to honour these exemplary employers but also to highlight the impressive capabilities of our armed forces. Some lucky guests even had the rare opportunity to take the helm of the patrol boat.

The Gold Employer Recognition Scheme celebrates organisations that epitomise excellence in supporting the Armed Forces community. These award-winning companies have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to reservists, veterans, and military families by providing flexible working arrangements, fostering an inclusive environment, and actively engaging with military personnel. Their dedication enhances the professional development of their military employees and promotes a broader culture of respect and appreciation for service. Earning the Gold award sets a high benchmark for others, showcasing how integrating military values and experiences can significantly enrich and strengthen the workforce.
