The Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, Mr Mohammed Saddiq said about the recipients; “We are proud to welcome a variety of award recipients, representing the very best of Reserves, Cadet Force Adult volunteers and Cadets in the county. I hope tonight has been a clear demonstration of their dedication and excellence, as well as the opportunities the Reserves and Cadets can provide across the county.
In addition to the Certificates for Meritorious Service, local employers were recognised with the Silver Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award for their support of defence. Cadets were also appointed as Lord Lieutenant’s Cadets for Devon for the upcoming year, marking a prestigious milestone for these exceptional young role models.
