Cadet Jensen Hayes from Dorcan Detachment has been recognised as the Cadet Winner of the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) Cadet Challenge Fundraising Award for 2024.

For eight months, Cadet Hayes had been growing his hair to donate it for ACCT UK. His initial goal was to raise
£300, but his mother agreed that if he raised £400 or more, she would also shave her hair.

The head-shaving event took place on 5th June 2024 at Dorcan Detachment.

Jensen successfully raised £610 for this challenge, and it’s important to note that he also sacrificed his birthday
presents last December, bringing in an additional £145 for ACCT UK.

Further details will be available in the coming months, but the Excellence Awards ceremony will take place during the
day in June in London.

Congratulations and thank you, Jensen! You are a true credit to your mum, Trish, and to the ACF. We are incredibly
proud to have you as our winner!
