Around August 2022, Wiltshire Army Cadet Force restructured, forming its new company names after the World War 2, D-Day landings on Normandy Beaches.
Major Andy Emery, Officer Commanding, Juno Company said “Our history is important to us ensuring the cadets learn from the past. We have received a very kind gesture from Tim Saunders MBE; a number of his books. These amazing books will sit across our detachments to allow the cadets to learn what their company name means”.
Tim is now a Battlefield Tour Guide, an ex Officer in the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment, and on its formation in 2007, The Rifles.
He served for over thirty years before becoming a military historian and of course the author of the amazing book, Juno Beach: 3rd Canadian & 79th Armoured Divisions.
