On January 16th, Nick Dunsby, Director of Naval Solutions Ltd, presented a cheque to the Glastonbury and Street Sea Cadets to support the purchase of new boots for their training. This donation reflects Naval Solutions Ltd’s strong commitment to the Armed Forces community and its ongoing efforts to improve the experiences and outcomes for Cadets.
The donation will ensure that cadets have the proper equipment to participate in training activities, further enhancing their skills and ability to access training.
By supporting the Sea Cadet unit in this way, Naval Solutions Ltd is not only assisting the cadets directly but also fostering a sense of community and dedication to the future of the Armed Forces.
This contribution demonstrates Naval Solutions Ltd’s ongoing efforts to support the Armed Forces and promote the development of young people.
Elaine Dearling, Chairperson of Glastonbury and Street Sea Cadets, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Naval Solutions Ltd for their generous donation. This will enable us to kick start out Boot Bursary Scheme. This scheme will initially provide 20 pairs of Parade Boots to our young people, giving them all equal access to a standard pair of Parade boots for their duration of their time at Sea Cadets.
“Our Cadets wear their uniform with pride, and so it is extremely important for them to have access to the correct footwear. This becomes even more important to the Cadets when attending courses, competitions and events, and where families may struggle to pay for expensive new boots and the children grow. The boots complete their smart Naval uniform and will be an invaluable asset to our unit.”
Nick Dunsby, Director of Naval Solutions said:
“On behalf of Naval Solutions Ltd I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Glastonbury and Street Sea Cadets for warmly hosting me and giving me the opportunity to meet the dedicated staff, volunteers and cadets. Your commitment and dedication is admirable. I was surprised to learn that the organisation operates as a charity and is heavily reliant on fundraising to support its activities. It was therefore an honour to present a cheque for £950 as a bursary towards providing much-needed boots for the cadets. We very much hope this contribution will benefit all members of the unit for many years to come.”
